New Features in Blogger 3.0

Blogger is an American web content management system that allows multiple-user blogs with synchronized time-stamp entries to be hosted on the internet. It was developed by Pyra Labs, a San Francisco Bay area based startup company. Google owns the blog sites, which are accessible via a separate subdomain of blogspot.

Unlike most blogging services, blogger is very easy to install and configure. Blogs can either be publicly or privately hosted using the software. The software works as a word processor, and posts are automatically timestamped so they can be viewed online anytime from anywhere. In addition, blogger has a built-in search tool, which makes finding specific blogs very convenient. Blogs can also be indexed via a main index provided by the blog service or via manual submission to RSS directories. There are several other features available such as built-in article directories, private message boards and forums, and the ability to set keywords for search engines.

There are several new features introduced in blogger 3.0, the most important among them are the “time Tracker” and “New Feature.” With the time tracker, Google Now allows users to see how much time has been spent on a specific blog since they last checked in. The new feature, meanwhile, makes it possible for users to create blog groups and add comments from other members. This makes the whole process very easy, even for the beginners who can use the familiar interface. These two new features are already proving to be very useful tools for both marketers and bloggers, adding value to their online activities.
