Useful Travel Tips

Travel is essentially the movement of individuals between very far away geographical locations. Travel can take place by air, sea, bicycle, car, plane, train, bus or any other mode, with or without travel luggage, and is either one way or round trips. The most popular types of travel include air travel, which involves flights to domestic destinations and other international as well as intercontinental traveling. Sea travel transports passengers from inland to coastal destinations, while land transportation involves movement between destinations on the ground and over the sea.

Quarantine is a form of restriction pertaining to travel to some specific areas of the world. It is intended to limit the entry of contagious persons or objects that might cause the spread of disease or spoil the environment. Travel within quarantined zones is strictly prohibited. Quarantine rules are implemented in the context of international travel and the prevention of contagious diseases. Travelers are advised to observe proper quarantination procedures when in places that are quarantined.

If you are going to be traveling with your pet, you should consider leaving them at home so that they can seek the companionship of a more experienced person such as a vet or a pet trainer before leaving on your trip. Taking your pet on a plane is not allowed since it could result in boarding difficulties for you. If you are traveling by bus, you should ensure that your pet has a leash and that their travels are limited to the bus itself and to designated stopping points. Staying at least six feet apart is also recommended while traveling on buses and trains.
